Happy 2023

As the year ends, I have a lot to be thankful for. Every December I do the same thing everyone else does,
I go through my pictures on my phone, and I re-live some of the special moments. I choose my favorite
pictures and make a post about how wonderful my year was.
This year sure was special. It was a year full of blessings, and also full of lessons.
This year I learned to do the things that I love, even when others do not approve. I started to put myself
out there, and I accomplished some amazing things, like starting a new career path, and partnering with
people and brands that I would had never imagine would give me a chance.
I started to accept myself as I am, and to love who I am. I modeled for brands, I mean, who am I?!
I was able to finally stand for myself, even though that meant loosing family and people that I thought
would be around me forever, and I’ve never felt better.
We finally took that Disney trip, and I lived my childhood dreams next to my husband and my step-son.
And I rescued puppies, and it was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life.
This year I am thankful for being alive, I am thankful for my husband, who supports and loves me even
though I keep bringing strays home. I am thankful for my step son who keeps on growing and is quickly
becoming a man with the sweetest soul. I am thankful for my parents, and for my absolutely amazing
dog, but I am also thankful to 5 people that I didn’t even know existed before the beginning of this year.

I am thankful first for @Queannacurtis
Sometime last July while crying over some family issues, I was scrolling through Tiktok and I saw this
crazy beautiful girl in what I can only describe as the best book review ever. After watching her video, I
immediately ordered Perfect Strangers on amazon.

That is the first book, I read in its entirety since 2015.

I have been an avid reader my entire life. My childhood was based on books, and since my parents
couldn’t afford to buy me books, I would read the books from my school library, and when I read all of
those, I forced my mom to get me a library card, and I would spend my entire afternoons in the public
library. I learned how to speak English by reading books, it’s always been my passion.
But something happened in 2015, and I lost it.

I bought so many books, I tried so many times, and I just couldn’t. I also lost my ability to write, and I
even burned all the journals I accumulated over the years, and the short stories I had spent so many
hours on.

Perfect Strangers changed my life and turned it upside down. So, I am thankful for @jtgeissingerauthor
and her beautiful mind. I devoured Perfect Strangers, which made me get a kindle unlimited account,
and I started reading every single one of her books… and because I didn’t have enough hours in my day
to read more, I got an audible account and I started listening to her books, and that’s how I found the
third person I am thankful for, Mister Sebastian York.

I couldn’t tell you which narration of his I heard first, it was in the middle of my JT obsession, and after
listening to every single one of her books I started searching for more, and I listened to every available

book narrated by Sebastian York, and one day, I found The Stopover, by the 4 th person on my thank you
list, @tlswanauthor The woman who has taken my entire heart, and my entire wallet. I cannot read
enough of her books, I cannot stop obsessing over her stories, and I cannot wait until I get to meet her in
person and thank her for sharing her amazing brain with us.

Lastly, the 5th person I am thankful for, is one of my now best friends’ @melatoninreads. I met Melissa at
work. I started a new role, and she was assigned to train me. I can say we hit it off immediately because
she is one the most amazing, smartest kindest soul I’ve ever met. To make things even better, turns out
she’s also a smut lover and we now have even more reasons to be best friends. Thank you for being such
an amazing friend Melissa. I am so thankful for you, and your friendship. I am looking forward to many
years of friendship

And there it is, thank you 2022 for the beautiful experiences. I am looking forward to a beautiful 2023,
full of amazing books, amazing stories, and amazing people.

Quick side notes:
@Queannacurtis – Thank you for sharing your love of books with the world. You have been an
inspiration to me, and I am sure to so many. I am so glad I ran into your video, it truly inspired me, and I
am where I am today because of you.
Because of you I discovered:
@jtgeissingerauthor, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being the kind soul that you are. The
first time you responded to one of my posts and went on to tell me how much you enjoyed it, and even
encouraged me to follow my narrator dreams, I cried. Your stories have changed my life so much. I am
forever thankful to you, and will honestly be your forever fan.
Because of you I fell in love with:

Sebastian York, whoever you are, biggest mystery in the book community, thank you for sharing your beautiful voice with the world and bringing these amazing characters to life.
Because of you I found who I can only describe as my writer-soulmate:
@tlswanauthor, thank you for being who you are, for sharing your love, for sharing your stories, and for
being such a kind soul. I think my heart exploded the first time you commented on one of my posts, and
I will forever be your fan. I cannot wait to get margarooted with you in Denver.

much love,

Rossina
